This reads like Tom Clancey's "Rainbow Six" with Clark & Chavez.
Perhaps George W. reads Tom Clancey and is taking notes.
Tom cllancey has been spookily close to reality in his novels...

The increasingly dominant role of the military, Pentagon officials say, reflects frustration at the highest levels of government with the performance of the intelligence community, law enforcement agencies and much of the burgeoning homeland security apparatus.Interesting. I've been wondering if the administration has triaged the CIA and the FBI, and the answer seems to be "yes." The cost of their failure in our war with Hussein is incalculable (well, figure $200 billion for 9/11 alone). They are clearly rotten and corrupt beyond any hope of repair. Glad to know Rummy has something up his sleeve to replace them.

Maybe some Iraqi civilians will read this and take out Sadam before the bad stuff happens.

Nice of the LA Times to do the terrorists' intelligence gathering and dissemination for them. As it says right below this FR composition window,
Loose lips sink ships.
Disclosure of such info in wartime smacks of treason, IMHO...
