I went to the Minneapolis paper (www.startribune.com) to find out more on the polling, didn't really clear it up, but I did see this headline that explains what Walter Mondale has been doing for the last 15 years:

Moorhead man has been hunting bigfoot for 16 years

MOORHEAD, MINN. -- If a bigfoot is living in the dense, wooded areas of Minnesota, this man has not found him.

You know, Davis did the same thing out here in CA with his one debate. Right in the middle of a workday.

Hmmmmm

I don't think Mondale can stay up late enough to debate after work.

I still think Mondale was the guy hunting for BIGfoot in Minnesota for 16 years http://www.startribune.com/stories/462/3404980.html

The end of the article says:
"I think one of the main reasons why science doesn't take this animal seriously is because we have labeled it a monster, and nobody is supposed to believe in monsters," he said. "If it had just been thought of as a new species of wildlife, there would have been scientists out there looking for it."

Now, he's definately a Democrat this guy, he basically says if the Gov't would have labeled it a new species - there would be BIGfoot. I mean somebody has to be paying these scientists and it's not anyone that has to make payroll - if you get my drift.

Having grown up in Wisconsin, and after reading that article......I am making NO COMMENT!!! :-)

8 years old and stunned. Good grief. And yes, I agree, Mondale's the dude.

"He's not trying to run out the clock or anything like that," he said slowly.

...60-minute radio debate at 10 a.m. tomorrow before an audience, sponsored by National Public Radio...

NPR the sponser? Why not make Carvile the sponser? I hate the way debates are managed. The perfect debate, IMHO, is where no annointed media person says a word. Each candidate gets 3 minutes. The last word gets maybe 1 and a half minutes. Coin toss to see who gets to choose to open or close. They can ask each other questions. Prior to the debate, they can ask media people what would be good questions. I wager that this kind of open debate would devastate the rats.

...the two rivals will meet in a 60-minute radio debate at 10 a.m. tomorrow before an audience, sponsored by National Public Radio and Channel 11. TV stations that wish to broadcast it live or delayed may do so.

It will be televised. No one will see it, but it will be on.It will be dissected by the local news and FNC. Wednesday we'll all be asking: "where's Waldo?"

Thanks for pinging me to this one. It's the best article I've read yet - the Washington Times comes through again!
