Ramadan is the holiest time of year for Muslims, marking God's revelation of the Quran to the Prophet Mohammed almost 1,400 years ago. Muslims abstain from food, drink and sex during daylight hours in acts of sacrifice and purification.

I like this article about our president. He seems like such a good man and his consistent respect for Islam will begin to help peel away the knee-jerk ethnic loyalty felt by too many Muslim Americans. I plan to make a copy of this article and give it to my neighbor who is an ex Catholic who married an Egyptian and became a Mulsim. Her children have had a hard time dealing with criticism from schoolmates about 9/11.
