Is "Alternative School" just a euphemism for "place where we send kids who are too mean, violent, or stupid for public school?" Is it a dangerous place, full of fights and drugs?
If so, this kid should not be sent there, they should find some other form of punishment.
Pretty much. I have a friend who's daughter went to that school for a while. As a freshman her friends dared her to take 8 or so sudafed sinus tablets. Of course being a brain-dead, anything to be cool freshman, she took the dare. Spent 4 months in Alternative School after having her stomach pumped. Didn't do alot for her attitude.
The Superintendent is an "Interim" Super. Probably wants the job and has to show the board he means business.
I can see a stay at the Alternative School, but not for 7 months. Couple of weeks.
