Very nicely done... I quit watching The West Wing last year. Up until then, I liked the show very much.

But Sorkin was unrealistic when he had Bartlett, a President who lied to the American people, then admitted he lied, then was censured by Congress... run unopposed in the Democratic primary. Not going to happen in real life.

Then Sorkin blew it again by having the scandal put behind him 20 minutes into his "State of the Union" address. Wow! Is that all it takes?

The writing has gone downhill quickly as the stories have become more and more about less and less.

I thought I would miss the characters. I do not. Though Toby seemed to have the right idea about fighting the war on terror.

Don't agree. Bartlet "lied" (more like withheld info) about the extent of his illness. There was really very little deception involved, actually. Some obscure government form should have mentioned it, or something like that. He never got on tv and outright lied to everyone.

Anyone would be sympathetic to Bartlet, given the facts. And they'd admire him more for quickly admitting what he did, taking the punishment, and moving on.
