You mean like CIA Director Tenent? You might wish to research what Sen. Shelby (R-AL) has to say about Tenent.

Bingo. If there was any blame to be tossed here, it would have been easy for Bush to sack Tenent and say "He was Clinton's guy, and it's his fault."

I guess the 1993 bombing of the WTC never occurred.

Not with airplanes it didn't. White terrorists blow up abortion clinics often more than arabs attack on this soil, but I don't see heightened security around family planning centers.

Do you know that boxcutters and pepper spray were banned from air travel prior to 9/11?

Right. And so was playing with your Gameboy during takeoff and landing. It may interest you to know that I carried a large folding knife (far more formidible than a simple boxcutter, this was a weapon) aboard the first plane from Newark to LAX on 9/4/01. same flight, exactly one week before, and nobody stopped me. Why? Because nobody had ANY idea that this type of attack was possible. If you can't understand this, you are suffering from post-911 amnesia. The world was a different place on 9/10/01. Condaleeza Rice's job changed as a result of 911, and so far she seems to be up to it.

Nobody came close! You really believe that?

Since you have yet to present concrete evidence to the contrary, what reason would I have to feel otherwise?

Gore lost, therefore you're a liar just by being here. Go away.

That's armchair quarterbacking. Neither would have anyone else. Do you have a problem with how she is performing right now?

There's something you don't understand.

In point of fact, Tuco probably doesn't have a problem with Dr. Rice, or her performance. Indeed, I bet that Tuco has a Condi Rice Blow-Up Doll in his bed right now. However, being a good Dem, Tuco likes to troll Condi Rice threads and toss stink bombs around.

In other words, "Don't Feed the Troll!"

Chris

I truly believe that the "dots should have been connected" prior to 9/11, and Rice as National Security advisor should be blamed for 9/11.

Tuco, your perspective on the world is so delusional I'm suprised that you are able to spell "9/11"

PS> Tuco was "the UGLY," not "the BAD" (geeze the guy can't even get the facts on a movie title straight & he wants to call the shots on national security???)

I know he's the village idiot, but every time he opens his mouth I feel my blood pressure rising.

No need to allow that to happen to yourself. The way I see it, people will say some of the most unbelievable things about others while hiding in the safety of cyber-anonymity. Therefore, I no longer get upset at folks here.

I'm more than convinced that the things said here would not be said in my face.

Gore lost

I thought more Florida people voted for Gore than any other candidate.

Unfortunately their votes were thrown out on technicalites (i.e., overvotes, undervotes).

No. Sorry. Any Villiage Idiot who intentionally undermines his own argument by bringing up Admiral Kimmel deserves the neat hiding that you gave him, but nothing else. Any other conversation with Toucan Sam is a waste of time.

However, other than that, Tuco needs to be avoided and he needs to have his Condi Rice Blow-Up Doll confiscated.

Be Seeing You,

Because the blade was less than 4"

It was a HELL of a lot larger than a boxcutter, that's for sure.

It did?

Um... yeah it did.

How could you possibly know that?

I would say "Because you don't seem to be able to come up with evidence to the contrary," but I won't give you that much credit. You're not very bright. So:

Because credible person seems to have any problem with the job she's doing.

The only problem with your "connect the dots idea" is

1) The information provided to the National Security Advisor is a summary and is more strategic / less tactical in nature.

2) The CIA and FBI both did not find the information valuable enough to send up the chain as anything more than a general threat.

3) The National Security Advisor has no authority to alter the operations of either the FBI or the CIA.

4) The person who is charged with the responsibility for the collection of these types of threats is the DCI - Director for Central Intelligence. And further, in that specific role, is a statutory member of the National Security Council and is the intelligence advisor to the council

I conclude from your comments that you have little to no experience with either the National Security Council or any of the intelligence agencies, their roles or their capabilities. I recommend that you read up on the NSC at www.whitehouse.gov/nsc it is a good starting point so you can come up to speed.

Boxcutters were prohibted, knifes with blades under 4" were acceptable.

Because credible person seems to have any problem with the job she's (Rice) doing.

Ever hear of the concept of PC?

Re your # 8....Last I checked the Black Community "Leaders"(i.e. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton et al) said that Condi and Colin weren't really Black enough...... more white then black....."Uncle Tom's"

Why even consider what these pathetic, un-American, and totally self serving Blacks have to say...

Ms. Rice is brilliant, honorable, self effacing, and a person all races can be proud of....a complete opposite of Jackson and Sharpton She is simply a joy to behold and a credit to this nation.

How about ensuring that security procedures were being followed like banning boxcutters and pepper spray?

Boxcutters are banned. How, may I ask, is the President of the United States and his National Security Adviser going to ensure that airport screeners Jane Wilson and John Smith are doing their job carefully enough right this very moment at, say, Providence, Rhode Island Airport?

Should Condi Rice be out there re-inspecting each bag?

The security personnel were a disaster waiting to happen, with a good possibility that they might have been working with the 9/11 terrorists.

We are in agreement. They are still a disaster. And who put the airports screener's "Union Rights" over competency in the recent Homeland Security debate?

The Democrats .

Do I make my position clear enough?

Apparently not.
