This is a HUGE conflict of interest, and a bombshell if used properly in the appeal process. Please pray, forward this story to the media, and while you're at it, bump this thread and keep it going. While you're bumping, contact the Judge in this case (ggreer@co.pinellas.fl.us) and let him know that they need to vacate their ruling regarding Terri and grant an APPEAL asap. If that doesn't work, PROTEST this at the HOSPICE ITSELF.

Instead of appealling, why don't they file a motion asking for a new trial because of newly-discovered evidence? That'd definitely postpone the 1/1/03 date. I doubt if the appeals court will allow new evidence in, but rather, has to go on the lower court's trial and evidence.

Two truths in this matter:

Terri Schiavo is a turnip.

Hospice is one of the finest, noblest organizations in the State of Florida or the U.S.

I don't know where this article originated, but folks need to get past the sensationalist media presentation and investigate the facts. The judge in this case has ruled NUMEROUS times that this woman should be allowed to die with dignity of some sort rather than continue as a stomach tube fertilized vegetable.

Her parents just will NOT let go and accept the situation for what it is. It's shamefully selfish behavior on their parts. The husband is not the monster that the media wants to portray him as. The Law is in favor of his position for a reason... because it's the correct and merciful thing to do.

Witnesses in the courtroom watched her follow commands on video, the nurses at a previous hospice pleaded with her husband to allow them to try spoon feeding her and he said no she might choke
she is definately severly brain damaged but not brain dead but without an advanced directive How can you just starve a handicapped person to death.

so whats next lets just starve newborns who are handicapped. then we can starve our alzeimers stricken parents and grandparents.

Hospice is a wonderful organization, but the Board of Directors knowing hid from the courts the fact that Michael Schiavo's Lawyer is ALSO their Chairman of the Board. This is a conflict of interest and either Felos (Schiavo's lawyer) or Hospice should have disclosed that fact to the court and to Terri's parents. No matter how wonderful an organization may be, there is always room at the top for corruption.

If Hospice is to remain a wonderful organization, they need to come clean about this and rectify the conflict of interest. The only way to do that is for either Michael to hire a new attorney, or for the Hospice to place Terri in an independent hospice facility.

There's a lot to digest concerning her case, but in this instance, right-to-die, right-to-life or otherwise, there are laws which must be obeyed concerning conflict of interest and guardian ad litem. These facts about Felos and the Hospice should have been FULLY disclosed by either or both of those parties.

I have issues with his politiking on behalf of a certain airport luggage scanner company, but he seems to also focus on health and medical issues.

Don't waste your time with these fanatics. Since they wouldn't be the one stuck with the lifetime bills, they don't have a problem wrecking this poor guys life. If you ask them to open their wallets, their little piggy eyes get beady - if you ask them to drop the hyperbole, they just shriek louder.

It hasn't dawned on them that even if the poor slob divorced her, he'd be on the hook for 100% of her medical expenses, and of course, this family would insist on the best, especially since they weren't paying for it.

Ask them about whether the limit of the major medical has been reached, and they'll just look dense. Heck, the man is probably deep into the 700, and these morons would have him keep the lady going forever without improvement.

The guy has made his bona fides by me by keeping her going as long as he has.

why dont you go make yourself less ignorant before you post the medical bills are paid from a malpractice claim mike won against terris doctor. mike wanted to take terri home and take care of her so he sued and won.


oops one problem he was already dating someone else before the suit was over so he stuck her in a nursing home. He needs her to die to get the money if she lives it goes toward her care. terris parents want to take care of her but he wont let them go get educated before you make such nasty posts about something you know nothing about

Terri is not a turnip. Would I want to die in her state? Yes. I think this case is the exception, seems that the husband wants her dead. Did you know that she had an eating disorder? Did you know that she showed up at work with bruises? Did you know that xrays revealed broken rib bones from a beating? I dont know if she wants to live. In this case we have to give her the benefit of the doubt for all our sakes.
