I read it, and I believe that it is a good explanation. I do get a bit tired of hearing about all of the honor of academy grads though. When I was at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT, similar to NPS), we had a bit a of cheating scandal. Our student class leader said that he couldn’t deal with the situation, because, as an academy grad, he had no experience or tolerance for cheaters. When the facts came out, the two involved in the cheating were academy grads. So, “do not lie, cheat , or steal, or tolerate those that do” is a great slogan, and an admirable goal, but it is not reality.
