Have some new candidates for the list of Liberal Talk Radio for your review. I don't know these folks, I sure there is some freeper who does. So I want your advice. Al Rantell KABC Can someone give me a rundown on the liberals at KABC radio? Can someone confirm that all the hosts at WVON Chicago are liberals? For the station call letters I listed, where are they? Are they Pacifica, NPR or other oppressive network stations?
Gloria Allred & ?? Taylor = KABC
Monique Caradine WVON
Sharon McGhee WVON
Prof Willie Dixon WVON
Peri Small WVON
Pervis Spann - WVON
Al Rantell KABC

High-profile attorney Gloria Allred is a partner in the law firm of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg, a Los Angeles based firm. She has won countless honors for her pioneering legal work on behalf of women's rights and rights for minorities who are discriminated against on account of their gender, race, age, sexual orientation, or physical condition.
An active feminist, Ms. Allred founded and is currently serving as President of the Women's Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund (WERLDEF). Recently she was selected by USA Today as one of the 25 most important radio talk show hosts in America. She has also been nominated for an "Emmy" three times for her television commentaries on KABC-TV.
Gloria Allred, of course, is a liberal. Calls President Bush the "selected president". Her partner(Mark? Taylor) tends towards the conservative point of view. I used to enjoy them but I believe they're no longer on KABC. O'Reilly and Rantell have replaced them.
Radio Activist Joe Madison Joins NewsMax.com Advisory Board NewsMax.com
Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Top-rated Internet news portal NewsMax.com today announced that Joe Madison, a nationally recognized radio show host as well as a civil rights leader, has joined its advisory board and its list of columnists and pundits.
How can she be an important talk show host without a talk showw?
LOL! I didn't know she wasn't on any longer....that was all from her website (which I forgot to post a link for). Here it is: Gloria Allred
Why do they still have that "false" info up if she's no longer on a talk show? Course, that site isn't dated....so I don't know when it was put up there. But you ask a good question.
I must say, I don't know. I don't know if I've ever heard him speak. But here's what was on Newsmax site: "Mr. Madison has served on the NAACP Board of Directors for more than 14 years..." I assume he cannot be conservative, at all, if he's on the NAACP Board....that's a liberal liberal liberal organization.
They carry conservative hosts because if they don't other stations will.
The Clear Channel has 1200 stations and distributed Rush. They have a lot of conservaitve hosts. Some are local like the ones on WLW in Cincinnati.
But if tomorrow some liberal host started drawing audience and could out draw Rush, he would be on and Rush would be in a new time slot.
It is mostly a commerial venture. Conservative hosts garner audience. They sell audience. If a host does not garner ratings he or she is history.
It just appears that in the market place of ideas, conservatives win audience with a score of about 90 to 10.
I have heard him a long time ago, he was filling in for whoever, he is kndof liberal, but seems more to be an oppotunistic conservative at best.
WELCOME TO HARTFORD'S ALL NEW NEWS/TALK/SPORTS AND INFOTAINMENT STATION
We are also taking many uplifting calls from new listeners such as Bob Lewandoski of Wolcott who says "Jason Jarvis is a good alternative to Rush."
The Station appears to be CONSERVATIVE otherwise, it has Dr Laura, Michael Reagan, and whoever Rusty Humphries is,
990 AM, Southington CT, small radio station, but it is home town, kind of... :)
.........At 34 years old, Rusty Humphries has been in the radio and music business for many years. A new breed of radio talent that also understands the word business in "Show Business."......................He wrote and produced the theme song for The Rush Limbaugh TV Show and has written and performed materials for Saturday Night Live, MTV, VH-1, Late Night with David Letterman, NBC and more. His song, Do The Bart Simpson, made national charts and was the inspiration for The Simpsons multi-platinum CD.
By our standards, he is a liberal, I am sure.
We'll put him down as a conservative.
