Chief among national concerns was total numeric immigration. Senate floor manager and Camelot knight-errant Ted Kennedy, D-Massachusetts, assured jittery senators that "our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually."

It's time to bump this thread to the top for all to see the danger lurking ahead. Now that we know Kennedy and McCain are writing a new immigration policy, we need to raise the roof to keep them from succeeding. Kennedy was wrong then, and he's wrong now.

The reason I pinged all of you is that I know you are all interested in stopping this madness! I hope it was OK. :-)
