I think Rocky is being to dimly understand that he doesn't have total power in this case. He has started to begrudgingly say that perhaps the power might rest with the SLC council, but if the council decides to relinquish the easement to the church, then Rocky will sue. Nice, huh, the mayor suing his own city council. Of course, none of the council members is worthy to say anything in this issue, since they all belong to the LDS church...

The Church bought the land, without restrictions. Then they built a pedestrian plaza. Now the city wants to tell the Church how they can use their own land?

I don't believe what Mormons believe. I don't particularly like the Mormons I've met. But this is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.

And, oh by the way, why doesn't the ACLU ever stand up for CONSERVATIVE Civil Liberties? Like Property Rights. Or the Second Amendment.
