Thanks for posting this. I found FR shortly after it showed up on Drudges website & have been happily lurking or posting ever since. I am ashamed to say I have only been donation for the last couple of years.

That's the thing, Kevin. Many of us (thankfully) have not faced such personal situations, but no one can say Jim Robinson hasn't "stood up" and made a real differance, when most others would have given up. He's a fighter and a leader in the conservative voice on the internet.

Words cannot express my thankfulness for FR to JR, and if the right six numbers, or sudden wealth should ever come my way, you won't have to worry about that debt load Jim, nor operational problems. And I'm sure there are goodly number of other FReepers out there that feel the same way. No sinister plot there either.

I enjoyed re-reading it and I'm sure many new FReepers will, too.

Free Republic has become a powerful force for conservatism in this country and for that reason there are many who would like to shut us down.

We will not let that happen!

If we all give just a little, Free Republic will continue and that force for conservatism will grow stronger.
