Thanks. Is Coats popular at this juncture? On the national stage, Coats gained fame for lecturing everybody about gay sexual attraction dynamics in the military. On the left coast, he was an object of great humor and derision. I thought he retired because he knew he was dead meat against Bayh. Or is this Coats' scion?

Yeah, you're pretty much dead on: he quit because he was too chicken to run against Bayh, and so now he's living fat off the government as a Ambassador to Germany.

As far as I'm concerned, it's good riddance that the guy is on the other side of the world. I don't think we need any of that attitude cluttering up our state.
