Tell that to a black family trying to move into a Chicago suburb in the 60's, 70's, 80's or maybe even the 90's as they sift through the ruble of their' burnt out shell of a home.
I think this a good national debate we are embarking on; maybe some real truths will emerge?.... Nah, we'll keep lying to ourselves.

You imply that the RACE question is no longer a problem in the Good Ole USofA. Not so! Whites not wanting to mix socially (or in any way) with Blacks and Blacks not wanting to mix (or in any way) with Whites is still the norm in this country. The Black Socialist Democrats passed laws in the 1960" called the "Great Society" that solved all race problems, they said. Then why this problem today? Laws will not change what is in the heart. Also, the motivation for the GSociety was greed not morallity. There has to be another way. As most Blacks choose to live in the South and the most contented live in the Rural South, maybe what Lott spoke about should be studied.
