Microbes Rain Down from Space? The data collection is just beginning. Until we get out there to some other planets and the moon and collect similar data, it's going to be controversial. It's the theory of panspermia all right, and we will just have to wait and collect data. Much too soon to call it one way or the other.

That I'll go along with. There is also the possibility that our solar system is unique, so we're decades away, at the least, from demonstrating widespread panspermia.
