America is being invaded: Joseph Farah warns threat faced by U.S. more internal than external

America is being invaded.

Some 10,000 illegal aliens cross our border with Mexico every day. Many of them never go back. Even those who do often take advantage of America's welfare system, government schools, taxpayer-subsidized medical care, Social Security and dozens of other programs.

The number of illegal aliens living in the United States has grown from 5 million in 1995 to between 9 and 11 million – that despite generous amnesty programs that have magically "legalized" millions more.

While many of these invaders are simply looking for a better life and more opportunity, among them are a large minority of drug traffickers, criminals, even terrorists whose goal is the destruction of the American way of life.

Despite the fact that all illegal aliens are by definition lawbreakers, federal, state and local rules often prevent one government agency from reporting their presence to another.

In 1982, for instance, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that children of illegal immigrants have a constitutional right to free government education. The court decided it is illegal for the local governments running schools to communicate with the Immigration and Naturalization Service charged with enforcing our nation's immigration laws.

In other words, instead of local, state and federal government agencies working together to enforce the rule of law, they are actually prohibited from doing so.

Do you want to know why it keeps getting more expensive for the government to do a worse job educating kids? One reason is that 15 percent of school children in California are illegal immigrants. The extra cost for that alone is $1.6 billion – just in California.

Who pays the tab for that? Not just Californians – all Americans.

But that's just the beginning.

More than 14 percent of the inmates in California's prisons are illegal aliens. They aren't in jail for being illegal aliens. They are in jail for committing other crimes. And there are many more still on the street who haven't been caught.

Long before Sept. 11, statistics like this should have awakened America to this threat to freedoms, to the rule of law, to our very way of life. It didn't. But now it should be clear to every American that insane policies like this threaten our very existence as an independent, sovereign, self-governing nation. We're in a war now, but the threat we face is internal more than external.

This is not a Mexican problem. It's not just a problem of language and culture. It's a problem of national security.

There are now about 155,000 illegal immigrants in this country from Middle Eastern countries alone. It's not racist to point this out. My grandparents, too, came from Middle Eastern countries. There's a difference. They came legally. Two of the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers were illegal aliens – Middle Eastern men who had overstayed their temporary visas.

It's bad enough that the government winks at blatantly illegal immigration. Worse is the way government bungles those actually in the system. Six months after Mohamed Atta and Marwin Al-Shehhi crashed their planes into the World Trade Center, the INS sent letters to a flight school announcing that they had been approved for student visas.

Meanwhile, our government tells us we are at war with terrorism. It's a strange war indeed. So far our military has been quite successful at smashing bases of operation thousands of miles from home. But, here, in this country, where the real threat is posed, we continue to invite mayhem and unspeakable violence. We are welcoming more terrorism with open arms.

If we are going to save America, it's time to get serious with our borders and immigration policies. If we're going to preserve our way of life, it's time to get serious with our borders and immigration policies. If we're going to take America back, the place to start is with our borders and immigration policies.

We here in CA need to enact prop 187. We ran the turkey Simon, so a hated govenor got re-elected and for another 4 years 187 goes undefended in court and therefore, illegals get to collect lots of free goodies including their children getting free educations at over $6,000 each child.

So for a family with 4 children we throw away $24,000 a year alone.

10,000 a day? Of the millions, how many are children collecting $6000 or more a year in education?

If 187 was enacted in CA we would be back in the black quick and illegals would go home with their hands in thier own pockets instead of ours.

This has been true for decades, and extremely frustrating that we never fixed it.

We're in a war now, but the threat we face is internal more than external.

Yes we're in a war now. The war has been going on since the '70s, at least that's when they declared war and earnestly began killing Americans wherever they could. I don't believe the threat internally has changed, we're more aware and sensitive to it (some are VERY sensitive to it). To believe the threat is more internal than external, no. For three decades terrorists experts have been warning that it was only a matter of time, and the last 10 years we've been living on borrowed time.

How we handle our new realization will speak to our courage as a nation.

Where are people getting this number? My station alone apprehends an average of at least 100 people every day. Prior to 9/11 my station was apprehending well over 100,000 illegals a year. My station is one of at least 70 on the border. This does not include substations or the ports of entries. During our busiest times of they year the Border Patrol probably comes pretty close to apprehending 10,000 every day. I think the number of people crossing is far higher than 10K. In 1996 when I worked with the US Border Patrol as a US Marine under JTF-6, the Border Patrol estimated that 70,000 crossed every day. It seems like a rediculous number until you realize that it's only 35 people per mile.

It's become quite clear since 9/11 that neither president Bush nor most of those in Congress have any intention of securing our borders. They have their agenda and this does not include the safety of American citizens nor the sovereignty of the United States.

I think the internal threat is greater. If the flood of illegal immigrants does not stop, in two generations they will be able to vote as a block and determine elections. Then the redistribution of wealth will really begin and American capitalism will be destroyed, wealth creation will stagnate, and America as we know it will die.

Well God Bless Joseph Farah.
But you know that he's gonna be the next conservative that the border eradicators start to bash.

I agree. The job of the Congress has been redefined as the mandate to plunder America to establish the NWO. And they are approaching the task with gusto.

We are fighting a new kind of war -- a war where the enemy soldiers are infiltrating our country and attacking from within. Yet only a few public figures, such as Bill O'Reilly, voice outrage that nothing is being done.

Even after 9/11 we still haven't secured our borders. And just when the push for securing our borders started getting more attention, what do you know? We have an uproar over Lott's trivial comment to Storm. I guess the media couldn't come up with a better diversion.

Failing to deliberately secure our borders is a far greater outrage. Also, I don't see any great effort to deport terrorists and other criminals.

America is being invaded.

It doesn't matter how it's said, or by what media source, or by male or female, young or old. It's not news. We all know it and have known it for quite sometime. It worsens yearly for those of us who care. It doesn't matter who discovered the disease when the cure is denied. America changes daily from the land of the Free and the Brave to just the land.

I have to disagree. Ain't the BORDER at all;

it's the SOCIALISM!!!!

Without the stealing from one group to give to another, a LOT of the incentive to stay here would be gone.....

Political Correctness is preventing many of the members of the House from speaking out and doing what should be done about the "Invasion" of our country. Questions I want answered by our State Department as to visas go unanswered except for what they have printed on their web site. My local elected, McCain, Kyl, Kolbe, seem to be sidestepping the problem and we just elected a liberal governor who will most likely not rock the boat by closing the AZ border to illegal entries or put real teeth in existing laws.

How many of us have written, repeatedly, to our representatives about this issue? I do every thirty days or so. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one. IMO they just aren't listening.

When a nuke goes off somewhere in America, and we find out it came over the Mexican border, maybe then they notice.
