I remember watching half a dozen episodes of that show Malcom in the Middle. The father (white) was at first portrayed as a really mellow guy who's wife'shistrionics and kid's craziness never bothered him one bit. Then after like six weeks they changed the father into the typical stupid, bumbling, helpless white oaf. Pathetic.

Television? I've seen two movies with store looting scenes, "Gremlins" (I think it was) and "Jumanji", depicting looters running through stores stealing things. I watched closely. All of them, without exception, were white.

Interesting article... I must say, I'm always kinda surprised when the perp is a minority on MY favorite, Law and Order... It's like one a them reflexes or something-- "Oh the bad guy is BLACK? I didn't know you were allowed to DO that on prime time television..."
