Iraq may be transferring chemical and biological weapons to Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said in a TV interview on Tuesday night.
Sharon said that Israel has information that "weapons he (Saddam Hussein) wanted to hide, chemical weapons, biological weapons, were indeed transferred to Syria."
According to Sharon, Israel is currently trying to verify reports it has obtained on the issue. "We have some information to that effect. We are now working to confirm the information." He noted that he is unaware of other states to which Saddam Hussein transferred weapons.
Sharon said that Israel knows that Iraqi scientists work in the Libyan nuclear development industry. (Albawaba.com)

Ah, what a convenient justification for the addition of another enemy of Israel to the "Axis of Evil".

There is a Pakistani guy on Foxnews frequently that has been saying that he thinks Saddam has moved everything out of Iraq!

Are you suggesting that we're waging the upcoming war with Iraq (and possibly Syria) for Israel's interest, and not our own? We're doing all this out of the goodness of our hearts, all courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer? If so, you're as naive as the leftists who screech that's it's "all about oil and American hegemony, and not about national security."

Not sure!
That may be the name!
Do you think he has a clue?

It wouldn't surprise me if this proves to be true.

But before we do actual war on Iraq I would like to see more proof (not just rhetoric) that invasion is justified.

The UN voted 15 to zip, that Iraq should be disarmed, of WMD. Moving the WMD to other nations, is NOT what the UN had in mind!!
I am confident that proof will come out of this, because I don't feel it would have been pushed this far without same.
Moving stuff, would fall under the definition of "cat and mouse games." It would be an unwise move, for the receiving nation.
Patience has been observed, giving Iraq every chance to give up the WMD gambit. If Syria and Libya want to get into the game, they need inspections, too.
But at some point, "inspections" and "proof" may turn into a game, too. An enemy is an enemy, and games are games.
I would not fault the US, if at some point we said: "Enough games!"

Well one thing should be for sure: If Iraqi WMD have left Iraq's perimeter, like Iraq's air force currently now in Iran, Iraq's WMD will never "want" to return to Iraq... and its new government.
Now, if the foreign govt's that acquire old Iraq's WMD become as beligerant as old Iraq, they too will find themselves turning into the same form of govt that the new Iraq will sport.

What if it's true Artois? Syria is a supporter of Terrorism, and therefore an enemy of the US.

Dood -- Fortunately we don't need your permission to liberate the people of Iraq.
The information is this thread is reason enough to take Saddam out of the equation. Right now it would seem every little tinhorn dictator in the world is still laboring under the misconception that it's safe to f*** with GWB and the USofA.

As a practical matter both regimes must go, but Iraq is the well chosen starting point.

I don't need any proof of anything for us to go after Saddam. Just the fact that he is a ruthless tyrant, a murderer, a war criminal, a Hitler wannabe, is enough for us to kick his ass and be morally justified. Period.

Merry Christmas, Artois. May the holy of holies bless you and your family on this glorious day.
And, may you have a New Year as happy and liberating as the one that awaits the oppressed people of Iraq!
