The White House typically has more than a dozen trees, one in every major room and some in those offices seen only by WH employees. As the Blue Room is one of the most public rooms, you'd think if this stuff hung from the tree there that someone would have mentioned it at the time in a newspaper. If there is any truth to this story, then a tree decorated with amateurish stuff would have been in one of the many less conspicuous rooms.

Yes, and you would have thought that the rape of Juanita Broaddrick would have been on Jennings and Rather -- but it wasn't. You would have thought that what troopers Perry and Patterson knew about the Foster death would have been all over the news -- but it wasn't. You would have thought that Bill Clinton's failure to finish at Oxford because he was booted out of the country for raping Eileen Wellstone would be all over the news -- but it wasn't.
