FBI Looking for Five Illegal Immigrants

The Associated Press
Sunday, December 29, 2002; 4:23 PM

WASHINGTON –– The FBI said Sunday it is looking for five men of Arab ancestry who may have entered the country illegally last week.

The agency said the five men are believed to have arrived in the United States on or before Christmas Eve.

The five men are: Abid Noraiz Ali, Iftikhar Khozmai Ali, Mustafa Khan Owasi, Adil Pervez and Akbar Jamal, all born between 1969 and 1983. The FBI warned that the names and birth dates may be false.

The FBI said it had no indication the men were linked to terrorist activities, but still wanted to question the five "based upon information developed in the course of ongoing investigations."

The FBI said it was working with the Customs, Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Transportation Security Agency to find the men.

"Why have they(muslims) been so slow to help this country?

This behavior is characteristic of third-worlders. Their culture is ingrained to mind their own business, look the other way, never snitch (talk to police) and most of all- watch out for yourself.

once again...I'm a new Freeper and still trying to figure out how to post a message that shows up in the right spot..."right" meaning with the flow of the conversation. Anyhow, I've been trying to post that I wondered what about the Alaska border with Canada? It's a remote area and maybe also a remote possibility that these guys would try to get across the border up here. During the winter months Customs isn't open all night long. I know we're all concerned up here about terrorists attacking the pipeline or Valdez terminal.

I saw that interview with Ijaz. I always listen when he is on, because he has such a clear approach. What he says makes sense

Bump for Mansoor Ijaz. Hands down, the best analyst on these matters.

Re: #321, I hadn't thought of what you suggest, Minutemen. Perhaps that's it, that they (the US moslems) simply don't want to get involved. But if so, they're harming the country they've chosen to spend their lives in.

I don't think we have much time left before the next attack, if these current reports are accurate. Ijaz was careful to point out that because the feds are releasing this information on a Sunday afternoon, there's some urgency here.

Yes, I pay attention, too, when Ijaz says something. He's got some important insights, and what he says does make a lot of sense.

I have. In fact I wondered the exact same thing after the FBI released pictures of the 9/11 hijackers. The best thing I could come up with is they use the pictures taken from their passports. Any other Freepers out there have any ideas?

And if Ijaz is correct and these 5 are "human mules"--then we have 5 sleeper cells being awakened to do what...? We're looking at some trouble here. Ijaz looked pretty worried, I thought.

I was watching one of the Fox programs this evening, Mansoor Ijaz said something really interesting. He thinks these 5 are "human mules" who are here to activate some of the sleeper cells. He said that AQ are no longer using any technology to communicate, only human contact.

If there are in fact "sleeper cells" here, the only reason for terrorists to infiltrate here would be to bring in *something* that's not already here. Information is one possibility. Biological agents are another.

On the other hand... if the "sleeper cells" really don't exist, or if they're "staffed" by the likes of Jose Padilla, the terrorists would have to infiltrate themselves in order to conduct an attack.

I'd really like to know myself why this is so? Why have they been so slow to help this country? Anyone...anyone???

Okay, you're trolling, but I'll bite.

The Islamic element throughout Western civilization does not consider itself a part of the former. It uses the freedom which Western society provides, to organize the destruction of that society. It does not believe in the rule of secular law, in freedom of speech (or anything else), and intends to destroy us all from within. It has no intention of assimilating with us, but intends only the Islamicization of the West - by any means necessary, since Allah condones anything that produces more Muslims.

To the average Muslim, Al Quaeda is only to be admired for doing what he or she himself is unable or unwilling to do. Therefore, don't hold your breath waiting for the (mislabeled) "Good" Muslims to turn in their terrorist "Brethren".

They can come check my neighborhood. I'm sure at least two of the guys are here (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn), two in Dearborn, Michigan and one now running a gas station in Las Vegas.

There are ominous ( I think) signs that the chechens are planning a new years celebration to beat all past in Moscow as well. Add that to the terror warnings for London and one could think this has potential for an ugly new year.

And how are you, btw? Nice to see you again. Pinging my friend Abar to join us.

Also applicable to Southern Italians and Corsicans as well.

In my opinion, there seems to be no place that is too remote for a terrorist attack.

"There are ominous ( I think) signs that the chechens are planning a new years celebration to beat all past in Moscow as well."

Well, aside from the Grozny fun that Basayev's boys had a couple of days ago, the French shut down an al-Qaeda cell apparently trying to use chemical weapons to attack the Russian Embassy in Paris. The interesting thing was that in addition to the Chechens, the cell was also comprised of members of the GIA/GSPC (Algerian al-Qaeda affiliates). With the apparent creation of al-Qaeda training facilities in the Pankisi Gorge (another fact that came out as a result of the recent arrests), I expect that bin Laden's stormtroopers are going to try to step up operations in Chechnya ASAP. They also really seem bent on killing Kadirov for some reason.

"Add that to the terror warnings for London and one could think this has potential for an ugly new year."

Agreed. The British also halted a plot back in November (and my working theory is that all of these sleepers started coming out of the woodwork following the latest edition of Osama Home Entertainment) to release cyanide in the London Subway, hence the recent terror warnings.

"And how are you, btw?"

I'm fine, having endured both Christmas and LOTR. My comp has to go into the shop tomorrow, but I should be up and running again in about a week or so.

Humidston: it wasn't the Hillside Stranglers you're thinking of...it was the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez. Cornered and beaten by a crowd. (This was an investigation that Diane Feinstein almost blew by giving away secret information the cops had about the Night Stalker--she did this at a press conference, the dummy.)

Anyhow, I'd still like to know when we're going to start guarding our borders. After 9-11, I was naive enough to believe that it would begin immediately, without a fight, and that all of the p.c. bullsh** would cease because people would realize that we had some very serious issues to confront--you know, like whether we would SURVIVE as a nation. But this is the land of the sound-bite and the 15-minute attention span, so...here we are again.

I'm wondering why this received zero coverage on my local news tonight. I watched two different stations (one at 6:00, one at 11:00 PT) and neither of them carried this story. Odd...the first I heard about it was on this site. (Of course, I live in Portland, Oregon, so there was probably worry about 'inflaming' certain of their viewers or hurting a certain group's sensitivities.)

Gotta remember we're living in the land of Vera Katz, no profiling allowed in the tri-county metro area...

I went to 5 Oregon news sites and yep, you're right...no real news there. Anyway, on the 5th site I do see a link to the 5 Abab men story:
