Police say foul play likely (Laci Peterson)

Here's another thread on the Peterson case, Landerwy.

Just speculating, but maybe it will be some small detail that will make the police zero in on someone.

Some of the recent pictures of Laci show her in some rather nice maternity clothes. Like many new mothers-to-be, I'll bet she had fun shopping for it all, and/or borrowing stuff from friends.

Maybe something as simple as whether her night clothes appeared to have been worn, on the evening of the 23rd, will lead to some sort of clue. Just grasping for straws.

If we are going to have to ignore every word that Laci's husband said, our first step will have to be to find out who else, probably her parents or siblings or friends, last saw her or heard her OK on the phone, and when, and in what circumstances.

I do not think, that in broad daylight in an area where she knew everyone in every house, on Christmas eve day, that Laci would hang back in fear and not go over to speak to, persons seen across the street! While knowing the Medinas, she may not have known they were already gone for the holiday, she might have just been a friendly and outgoing person.

Lets crank up all those freeway and intersection cameras, grab some of the film and look for Daddy heading to his favorite fishing spot.

Somewhere, in one of the articles (a more recent one), it was reported that Laci's mother last talked to her on the evening of the 23rd. Early evening, and by phone, if I remember correctly. After that, Scott was apparently the only person to see or talk to her.

Here's something I don't get. I saw a box for a video, it was next to a CNN story. The video was an interview with Laci's step-father. (I didn't play the video, it required a sign-up.) I didn't know she had a step-father. The only father (of any kind) I'd heard of her having was that Mr. Rocha, who has been seen in the media. This looked like a different guy. And the names...the mother still has the last name Rocha. Confusing.

Also, I just read an article (dated today or yesterday) on crime.about.com, in which Scott's father was quoted as saying Scott has NOT hired an attorney. But earlier we read that he HAD hired an attorney.

Hey, did you see where someone posted on here that they even have cameras scanning the water, down by the Berkeley Marina? So maybe they can try to scan the 12/24 film for a 14-foot boat? I can't believe such film would be very clear.

No, the mother now has a surname of Granski or something like that. The sister is the one still called Rocha.

Her mother was doing the same thing on a cable news interview. She said something to the effect: We know who got you, we are coming to get you. We are on our way. It won't be long.

It was mind bogling. Strange.

Greta Van Susteran did an audio interview with LE on her show last night (Thursday night). The Medinas (victims of the burglary) did not leave their home until 10:34 a.m. of the morning of 12/24/02 according to LE. And also according to LE the dog indicates that Laci did not go toward the park or down the street. The dog indicates that Laci's scent ended in the driveway of her home. Greta asked LE if Laci got into a car that was parked in the Peterson's driveway and LE responded yes.

It sounds like she got in the car but didn't get out of the parked car. Interesting.....who parked the car?

Or was the car already parked. As I understood Greta, Scott has a car and Laci has a car. Both cars are being or has been searched. Greta asked LE if anything was found in either vehicle, you already know the LE's response.

But I guess it could have been someone else's car or van in the drive. Could Laci been abducted as she was leaving the house to walk the dog instead of returning from walking the dog?

I am still mind boogled at the way her mother was talking a few days ago on an interview on the news.

My hope is still that he didn't do anything to harm Laci and the baby. We'll see...

This says she HAS remarried, but still had been calling herself by the name Rocha, but now on TV feels that she needs to emphasize her marriage to this Ganeski or whoever, so that will explain why she isn't with her ex, Mr Rocha.

You're kidding me!

I'm thinking back. I do remember one woman who kept her first husband's name, even after they divorced and she remarried. The first husband (half-jokingly) mentioned it one time when I saw him. He was bemused, and slightly annoyed.

Laci's family sound like wonderful people. Scott's sound nice, too. I imagine that among the younger members of each family, there is some fierce speculation and whispering going on. The younger ones would know more about how Scott and Laci were when the parents weren't around. Doesn't mean anything concrete, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall.
