Does anyone recall from earlier articles what time the husband says he returned from his fishing trip and whether there was anybody to corroborate his account of the timing? I.e., how long between the time (he says) he got home, and 6PM when he reported her missing to police?

I don't have a good feeling about the husband here. Your wife is 8.5 months pregnant, thus quite capable of going into labor at any moment, and you decide it's a good time to go out on an all day fishing trip 70+ miles away, leaving her behind with no one else at home, to fend for herself?

I thought he returned at either 4pm or 5pm.

I'll give hubby a break for the fishing trip. He had a cell phone and wasn't that far away. Somebody pointed out before that maybe she wanted him out of the house so she could clean up, wrap his presents...etc.

That said.....he's up s creek without a paddle at this juncture unless she turns up unharmed (I hope!)

Maybe my husband and I are different from the majority... but we didn't do anything particularly different when I was pregnant - I worked as a physical therapist up until delivery with both our kids, and hubby was out in the field on an intense week-long combat casualty course that ended the day I went into labor with our second child. We drove 90 miles or so out into the country for a folk music festival less than a week before the baby was born. I flew across country about 2 weeks before the baby was born for a job interview in the next place we were locating.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary with the husband going off for a few hours when he has a day off, giving the wife a few hours to finish Christmas plans.
