The Giants have never been the darlings of the league like the Cowboys or the Packers. As a matter of fact, the league has seemed to go out of its way NOT to seem biased for them.

True enough - the Cowboys and Packers are certainly the league office favorites. I did notice, however, that the NFL declined to release the Divisional Championship lineups until after this past weekend's slate of games. I suspect this was done to insure both NY teams weren't in play on the same day. As best I can remember, Week 1 and 2 locations/times were always released prior to the start of the playoffs.

If the Giants had one, the NFL would not have been able to release the schedule for any games beyond next weekend because there was a remote possibility that both the Giants and the Jets, who play in the same stadium, could have hosted league championship games.

I heard that the NFL was actually prepared to schedule both of them in Giants Stadium on the same day, with an interval of 2-3 hours between games.

Since you never have more than one game going at once in the playoffs, and neither the Jets nor the Giants could possibly be hosting in the divisional round, there'd be no reason for this. I heard them announce the schedule next week during the halftime show of the Niners-Giants games. Maybe you just missed it. Remember the AFC was still pretty wide open until the Steelers Browns game was done because that was the 3-6 matchup and lowest seed goes to highest. I think you're just grinding an axe.
