Students at the University of Cairo have held demonstrations on campus refusing to allow Egyptian belly dancer Dina to shoot scenes from her new movie. Muslim students were outraged at the news of the dancer shooting improper scenes at their university saying they condemn such acts, which are a disgrace to the religion of Islam.
The London based Elaph reported that one of the officials at the university tried to calm down the protesters saying that the film does not contain any inappropriate scenes, but the students refused to accept any justification for the presence of the dancer at their campus. The students warned the official representative of the university that if they do not back out of their decision they will throw hot boiling water at his face and also at Dinas face deforming it, if she attempts to enter the university.
Dina had announced that she will be shooting scenes at the University of Cairo for her upcoming movie Hurma Fil Wazara (A Woman in the Ministry). She had recently said that she is adamant on sticking to the original script of her new movie without making any alterations. The film revolves around the life of a woman politician who works in one of the ministries and is suddenly faced with a serious illness. Her illness in turn leads her to appoint her sister, who is a dancer, to host a foreign delegation visiting Egypt.
The dancer has refused to accept any changes made by the Egyptian Censorship committee and said she will defy them and produce her movie with its original script. The Censorship had made alterations regarding the nature of the film, which according to them contains scenes that are provocative and inappropriate.
Dina has recently denied all rumors of her fleeing Egypt and going off to Paris after a scandal of her involvement in pornographic movies with businessman Hussam Abdul Fatih, who is currently serving a jail sentence for money embezzlement, was revealed.
Dina had just returned to Cairo-Egypt after spending a two-week vacation in Lebanon and the US where she spent the New Years Eve and took time off to relax. The dancer expressed her disturbance at the shocking news of a her involvement in such a scandal saying that she did not imagine that taking a vacation and leaving Egypt would induce such news.
Dina admitted that she was secretly married to Hussam but the two had recently divorced. She also added that there is no involvement between her and the scandal as well as she has not committed any act by breaking the law that would force her to flee the country. Dina had said that she was never called in for questioning proving her innocent of such rumors as she intends to begin accepting offers to hold performances in Egypt.
Last week, rumors circulated that Dina had left Cairo-Egypt and ran-off to hide away in Paris-France after her involvement in pornographic movies was revealed. She had announced that she would not be holding any performances during the New Years Eve and cancelled all prior agreements made. A number of newspapers had said that Dinas excuse for cancellation to most of the hotels and private parties she had contracted with was that her sister was in a sudden accident. But in fact her decision came after a number of videotapes were found in a businessmans apartment containing obscene and provocative scenes of her. Albawaba.com

Ahhh, Sweet Islam...the religion of tolerance...The Religion of Peace®.
They ought to stone whoever thought up this drivel.
Terroristic threatening is a crime in our society, but a normal, everyday occurence in islamic countries. The mere fact that these students were not immediately arrested and charged speaks volumes about Egypt and the "religion of peace."
Egypt sends us all their belly dancers, and we send them all the anti-war protesters.
No, he has body hair. They like 'em younger.
Seems Muslims are the biggest disgrace to Islam.
