I was speaking in general terms, but more specifically, you are correct. The truly wealthy, of both parties, don't pay
income tax, because they don't work and earn income. Their "income" comes from interest, profit earned, and/or dividends. If income tax rates were 5% or 95%, their income would not change.
To my general point, socialists hate those who succeed, because they represent freedom and opportunity, and socialism cannot abide those two ideas.
That is why the rich liberals support socialism, but of course socialism is only for the peons, don'cha know?
