Talk about a slap in the face of the UN and all other countries sympathetic to Iraq. Hmm........

You all might want to say an extra prayer of support for the members of the Lincoln Carrier Group -- they were due back into port in San Diego several weeks ago but were delayed in Australia for some repairs and now being deployed to the Gulf.

There can now be little doubt that we are committed to war in Iraq. There's no backing down now. Either the regime in Iraq is going to change or the U.S. will see a new president on January 20, 2005.
My money is on the regime changing in Iraq. Good luck troops!

After 9/11 and the continuing terrorists threats the U.S. has recieved, it is now clear that you will be fighting for the future of this country and the future of its people. God speed.

It looks like March at the earliest to get these units and ships in theatre, exercised and prep'd.
What happens or doesn't happen at the UN is irrelevent. This force cannot be kept in place indefinitely and standing down would be an admission of defeat. The decision has been taken. FWIW, I predict France will participate and Russia, China and Germany will stand aside so as not to be rendered irrelevant.
Godspeed to all soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines for swift victory and safe return.
