What is the motive to the coverup? I had heard of this but never read any of it. Quite interesting!!

Al Gore was in charge, I believe. He took a huge bribe from the airlines to cover it up. The administration went along because if they told America that a jet was shot down over the CONUS, the industry and their (administration's) future was over.

Also, I believe they hoped that by ignoring the growing number of terror strikes(okc) they would embolden the terrorists and their hosts to do something huge, allowing them to be in charge at the start of the war we are just beginning.

They would have made themselves permanent rulers, and still hope to.
