Miriam Oliphant/ Broward Cty - Voting office inquiry widens (500 more "uncounted" votes discovered!)
Sun Sentinel - Liberal rag in South Florida ^ | January 26 2003 | Scott Wyman

Posted on 01/26/2003 6:03:47 AM PST by Caipirabob

An employee in Broward County's elections office has told prosecutors that there are more uncounted absentee ballots from September's primary than those found this week in a file cabinet.

The lawyer for the employee said she discovered more than 500 unopened ballots in the office mailroom two days after the election. According to the story she laid out to prosecutors, she notified her supervisor and was told there had been a mix-up and that the votes needed to disappear.

Democrats must be proud of their Miriam! This gets better and better as Miriam's world of corruption and disenfranchisement comes apart. Now on top of all the other charges and the 100 "uncounted" votes found the other day, an additional 500 "uncounted" votes just magically appeared! Right out of the thin air! No kidding!

Of course Miriam wants to get to the bottom of this mystery as quickly as possible. Can't have any voter fraud around here, No sir!

Of course we would expect such concern from a woman who's idea of a "Voter Training Video" included a scene where a "White Republican Poll Worker" stopped and harrassed a black voter trying to vote (It would have been released but the conservatives who discovered it went public with it and pressured Oliphant to cut the scene, which she did!)

At any rate, I hope and pray the justice will be served here, but it is Broward Country and Miriam is a Democrat, so there is little hope.

At any rate, if you reside in Broward, keep screaming over this. Make yourself heard and let the rats know you won't stand for it.

600 ballots represent about 13% of the Reno primary shortfall.

I'm betting there are at least another 5000 disappeared votes. Tee Hee!

Isn't it amazing that ballots, like billing records, have that nasty habit of reappearing?

Democrats won't even know she is a democrat. Try finding a report on her corruption in office that states she is one. Not that the democrats would care, they have become the party that accepts any kind of corruption, as long as they are in power.

Surplus from the "Vote Manufacturing Machine" no doubt.

Rat voter fraud has no end in this neck of the woods. Does anyone doubt if it hadn't been for SoFlo Conservatives (and us at FR) that the 2000 election would have been "stolen" just as easily? Scary thought...

Not only is she a dumbocrap, she is a BLACK dumbocrap!! That means she is immune from any public sanction or criticism. She is an affirmative action appointment and, therefore, is not expected to know what she was supposed to do.

She has friends and relatives who have done very nicely. And, as always, she never got the budget or the support that she needed....

The local media might cover this, the national media never will just like they won't cover the Teachers' Union in DC. The national media, in fact, will turn this into an anti-Bush issue and shift this woman's incompetance to Bush.

In fact, this woman, Cynthia McKinney and Carol Moseley-Braun should form an organization to back black, females who have trouble once they get into positions of responsibility. After all, we got to cut them some slack what with 400 years of slavery and all.

Once again, it is stunning that the entire article is written about a Democrat, yet the word Democrat is not mentioned once......OOOhhhh if there were a Republican in this position, we all know the story would be slanted toward how some dastardly Republican made this kind of mistake.

Try finding a report on her corruption in office that states she is one.

Actually, there was a story detailing how Oliphant was fronted for the office by the Broward Dem leaders, in spite of her pathetic performance on the Broward School Board. It appeared right after the September primary mess, written by veteran political reporter Buddy Nevins of the Socialist Sun-Sentinel, who has a track record of telling it like it is.

Funny thing, since that story, Nevins hasn't written any of the leads on Oliphant, but we have a steady barrage of SSS columnists and editorial writers demanding that Governor Bush remove Oliphant, as if he, or the Republicans (virtually powerless in this Dem cesspool) had anything to do with her election.

Purloining un-opened ballots in the mail room, eh? Making room for replacement ballots already marked, eh? Tampering with the U.S. Mail is a federal offense, right?

So what's the penalty for mail theft these days? Shouldn't a U.S. Marshal be walking through the office waiving a couple of federal arrest warrants?

"Tampering with the U.S. Mail is a federal offense, right?"

Is it tampering if it has been delivered to its' address? If it hasn't been opened the it must be decided if it was post marked before the deadline. To me it looks more like malfeasance, misfeasance or nonfeasance.

Scott Wyman has received a fair amount of phne calls wanting to know why he did not identify Olliphant as a Democrat in his story. He was a little snippy about it when I called him.

His claim was that it's a local story and his readers already know she's a Democrat.

Hit the link and go to the bottom of the article if you'd like to call Scott too.

That's possible, but I don't think anyone will bother to check at this late date.

The seriousness of vote fraud is always understated. Some may think this is only a question of five or six hundred voters being disenfranchised, while the truth of the matter is that all voters are dis-enfranchised in a phony election where the results are planned long before the first ballot is cast.
