Name me a Muslim nation the USA has not courted in the past only to have it turn bad on them? Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey, to name three. It might be said that we're "courting" Afghanistan, too.
Oh, and we haven't had cause to regret our association with Morocco. Saudi hasn't been an unqualified success, but it's not too bad. Our relations with Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE are holding in there, too.
So ... I believe you were blathering about "having it turn bad?"
All those Muslim nations are a horror to their people or shall I only pat a nation on its back if it heels like a good doggie to our foreign policy whims?
