But, what 17 year old would call 911 to say that her dad told that she makes him miserable and want to know if that was child abuse. Maybe I could understand a 12-13 year old doing something like that. But a 17 year old, "honor student" should know better. In fact there are many 17 year olds who were double-promoted etc. already away from home at college.

I realize she had a less than normal childhood, but from this article at least it sounds like she's a spoiled brat. They should have slapped her with a fine for mis-using 911.

I agree. She evidently likes the money that pays her private school tuition OR she can move out.

Given that the father of this particular 17 year old is OJ Simpson, I think it unfair to call her "spoiled" because she called 911. On some level, this girl knows her father killed her mother, but she can't say that; instead, she quotes nasty things he has said to her. In reality, she's afraid for her actual life...and she has good reason to be afraid. The call to 911 was her way of asking someone to remove her from that house, which would be the best thing for her.
