This guy Ritter is a traitor and should not be allowed back in the country. Thankfully, I doubt that the Japanese will be dumb enough to listen to his ranting and raving.
You know, we do need more judicial determination on the issue of treason in light of modern conditions. The Constitution calls it "giving aid and comfort to the enemy." In our current situation, I believe that when the Congress passes a resolution authorizing the use of military force, and at the point when the President uses that force, the nation against which the force is used becomes an "enemy". Giving that enemy aid and comfort, by, for example, denouncing our country's policies abroad and supporting the government of the enemy, is treason, and I wish more cases on that subject were brought by Mr. Ashcroft.
Ben Affleck, Sean Penn and Scott Ritter should be taught that in time of war, things are different. You can be against it before it starts, but once begun, the nation has decided on a course of action, and to hinder that course of action is treason, which we ought to start punishing.
So the Ritters of the world better cease and desist once the bombs start falling. Bet they won't.
