The Palm Springs area has one of the highest per capita rates of syphilis in the country, according to a recent alert from the California Department of Health Services

Notice how far into this "story" you had to read to find out that this is yet another epidemic of sexually transmitted disease among homosexual men?

Hmmm- are they not using all those billions of dollars worth of condoms? Am I supposed to give a rat's ass about this?

I know, to even note that the "general population" is not REALLY at much risk for these diseases is very, very politically incorrect. I shall go smack myself silly with a frozen flounder.

Somehow the picture in my mind of the gereatric population pushing walkers wasn't jiving untill I read further down.

As to what a privious poster wrote yeah I agree they should hand out their worthless kits before the event not after.

Is the local Palm Springs govt. going to fund these kits? No Doubt.

Maybe a Corperation sponser such as Smirnov (sp) Vodka should provide the kits.
