An anti-war rally in a city church Saturday afternoon will be one of 300 gatherings worldwide this weekend to try to stop an American strike against Iraq.

Many St. Louis religious leaders and others will gather at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ, 826 Union Boulevard, just north of Delmar Boulevard, for the public "Stop the War, Swell the Ranks" rally at 1:30 p.m.

A week or so ago, there was a thread (that has since been deleted) that told how the National Council of Churches was sending bumper stickers - for free - to those who requested them.

If you can offer a donation to cover postage and/or support the costs of the “Win Without War Campaign," we'd be grateful -- but if you can't, we'll send the bumper sticker(s) anyway! Suggested contribution: 1—10 = $2.00 : 11—25 = $5.00 : 26 – 50 = $8.00 : 50 – 100 = $10.00

I ordered a thousand, and yesterday they showed up on my doorstop - no charge. I don't know whether to burn them or modify them.

The bumber stickers state:

America's Problems won't be Solved in Iraq

You can use some of the duct (Duck) tape you bought and a permanent magic marker to modify them .....

America's Problems won't be Solved by France

America's Problems won't be Solved by Germany

America's Problems won't be Solved by the UN

America's Problems won't be Solved by Iraq...but its a good start

If you want a sticker or a hundred stickers just FReep-mail me and we'll arrange something - best of all they're FREE!
