Blair said he was still committed to solving the Iraq crisis through the United Nations and said weapons inspectors would be given more time.
The AP header is almost identical to the BBC's on this same speech. Yet the quotes do not support the header. If anything, Blair's remarks about the inspectors being given more time were used in a rhetorically sarcastic way.
The press is either being being obtuse or wilfully misrepresenting Prime Minister Blair's remarks. The war's already on, and you can see it in the behavior of the Left. All peacetime rules of civility and fairness have been suspended. Their attitude is: "by any means necessary". So be it.

I watched this speech live from USA on fox and it was Spectacular!!
The transcripts are all over the net, but i have yet to find an audio file. YOU must hear it, or read it.
It was simply brilliant, and so very well delivered.
If anybody finds the audio file link, please post it for me.
Mr. Blair made it clear that Saddam needs to disarm or be disarmed.

The media RATS focused on that one line about giving inspectors more time (as if a week or two matters anyway). I'm not exactly sure why...unless they want to give the American people the impression that Blair is going soft, or that London and Washington are at odds over inspections.
