This also explains a bit:
On August 23, 1995, Hagman underwent a 16-hour liver transplant operation. It saved his life and he spoke openly about how his alcohol abuse was the cause of his health problems. He chaired the American Cancer Society's "Great American Smokeout" from 1981 to 1992.

Here's one that shows Larry Hagman and his deep spirituality, with some objects of worship...

They will never hit hollywood they need supportiers.
Hagman: I played an ruthless oilman on TV, so I can spew my vast knowledge about oil.
Sheen: I play an President on TV, so I can spew my vast knowledge about the Presidency.
Bono: I sing in front of millions of people worldwide, so I can spew my vast knowledge about worldwide issues.
Baldwin: I play creepy psychopaths, which is no stretch on my part, so I can spew my vast knowledge on political issues and make empty threats to move to France.
Steisand: I'm a transparent dimwitted singer, so I spew whatever 'Rat talking points are handed out and sometimes go offscript and really humiliate myself.
etc.

I agree with you. If Barbra Streisand, Martin Sheen, et al, could still get up on their soapbax and speak out against war after losing a close loved one to terrorism, THEN and only then would I have any shred of respect for them. Let James Brolin or Charlie Sheen get blown to bits by a terriorist bomb and I suspect Babs and Sheen would be calling Bush demanding to know why he hadn't blasted the muslim world to smithereens already.
These hollywierd types SICKEN and DISGUST me to no end.

From the "What a Waste" Department:
UNOS, the United Network for Organ Sharing, has reviewed the circumstances surrounding actor Larry Hagman's liver transplant. While UNOS cannot release specific details relating to individual transplant patients or donors, we have found that the donated organ was allocated according to established UNOS policy.

Hey, that was never proven, pal! ;) H'mmmmmm. First husband Richard Marsala does not look particularly amused with her endearing embrace in 1966...a year after the debut of the 'I Dream of Genie' series. Their divorce was finalized in 1973....

Exactly. For example, I remember a couple of years ago that
Chevy Chase was whining and complaining on TV that he thought that the common American people didn't take him
and his Hollyweird co-horts seriously enough and their
Hollyweird political viewpoints.
DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!

An actor passing judgment on the President of the United States...how quaint.
