France fearful of America's cold shoulder I don't know that they should be fearful, since 'fearful' implies uncertainty, and I would say there is no 'uncertainty' whatsoever to the consequences of Jacques-ass Chirac's anti-American antics.
I think shame and remorse would be more useful emotions for the French at this point...

First of don't boycott Trader Joe's. TJ's has some great values on some great American and Australian wines. We are in agreement. I was not advocating such, I was arguing against it.
TJs has all kinds of great stuff- it's like a trip to the toystore for grown-ups; around every corner is something new and cool that I just gotta have. :-)
I shall never speak ill of a place that has an eclectic enough selection of ales, porters and stouts to actually impress me either, especially when they are only a block away from my office.

I knew that you were defending TJ's. My comment was to those who want to boycott any store that might carry a product from some country that is anti American.
All us can read. We just don't buy products made in France, Germany, Belgium, ChiCom Land and maybe Russia!

There is a supermarket called Biggs that is French owned about 10 miles from my home. The union has been picketing them for about 15 years now, which hasn't affected them in the least. This anti-French sentiment may hurt them though.

"ALL French products need to be boycotted." We are in full agreement. I just wanted to add the pharmaceuticals to the list because (for example), Aventis is an $18 BILLION company with the US being their primary market (probably 50% or more). And, there are plenty of US pharm's to choose from.
