I still don't understand the apology. Is it that Sandy is not a tinkerbell? Or, is it that they are sorry that they reported the fact that Sandy is a tinkerbell?

Its both. Koufax was a deeply religious guy at one time, and was (I don't want to say is, because he has since been twiced divorced and is now living with his girlfriend) fairly conservative. He is not gay, and being called gay to him is insulting. The post never said Koufax was gay outright, but it was very clear they were referring to him. There have been numerious rumors over the years about certain players being gay. There was a yankee named Chuck Knoblauch who was rumored to be gay. Several of the born agains on the yankees wouldn't touch anything he touched, and would avoid speaking to him and or would ignore him completely. It also doesn't help that a writer who is gay several years ago talked about having a relationship with a baseball player, who played on an east coast team. Several people claimed it was Knoblauch. I'm hoping that things get straightened out about Sandy and the dodgers.
