WHATEVER Saddam may have, in violation of his agreement that ended the LiveEx in '91,

. . . is already grounds for invasion by the cease fire agreement ending the first Gulf War.

unless it can be shown beyond Dubya's rhetoric

What about Powell's rhetoric? Your bar for proof seems to be moving.

that he was involved in 9/11, is irrelevant to the war on TERRORISM.

Well, we have actual checks from Saddam to families of Palestinian suicide bombers. Sounds like terrorism to me.

So far, we have nothing linking him to 9/11 except words from Dubya and Powell...

OK, so Powell isn't enough. How about Blair?

and on the strength of that, they want us to waste time and lives hitting the wrong target.

Let me grant, for the moment, that you are correct. In that case, the "right" target will be properly discouraged from acting up.

I am as anxious as anyone to see terrorist bodies lying in the streets... however, I would strongly prefer they be the RIGHT ONES...

Do you have any idea what, for example, Uday has done to Iraqi athletes? Check out ESPN.com. I won't bother linking, I've wasted too much time on this reply already. But that is pretty much terror.

Do you suppose that would be acceptable to the war at any price crowd?

Something tells me they don't care one lick about how convincing you find the evidence to be.

So according to your logic, if someone molested my wife I could come over and blow YOU away and the REAL guilty party would quit his life of crime?

And the Israelis could just as easily deal with THAT, as it is directed THEIR way, not ours.

OK, so Powell isn't enough. How about Blair?

The same Blair that "Conservatives" blasted for being dashole buddies with Billy Jeff? How convenient for you that now he's been rehabilitated in time for this war.

Then wouldn't you say that is a matter for the Iraqis to deal with, on their own? It still does not even come CLOSE to justifying our intervention. (Now, I personally might be interested in doing serious injury to Saddam and his crew, but NOT AS OFFICIAL U.S. POLICY.)
