Police Commander Hints Temple Mount May Be Reopened Following Gulf War II

(IsraelNN.com) Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy indicated that following the expected war with Iraq, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City would be reopened to visitors. Levy indicated that after the war, police would take the necessary actions to permit Jews to once again visit the holy site.

Levy explained to the government that the situation has changed vis-à-vis the Mount over the past year, pointing out that Arafat's weakened position is reflected in the situation concerning the Mount.
