[history]
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - A state judicial watchdog group ordered a Contra Costa County judge removed from the bench Thursday after concluding his rude behavior was inappropriate and perhaps prejudicial.
The Commission on Judicial Performance granted Superior Court Judge Bruce Van Voorhis 30 days to appeal its decision to the California Supreme Court.

He'll appeal and then file for disability retirement, and they'll award him a $5,000 a month disability pension.
Something similar happened to a disgraced judge here in Pittsburgh PA.

Found some interesting stuff searching the web for this commission. Since 1960, there have been only 23 judges removed. TWENTY-THREE in 43 years? Hahahaha!
Don't believe me? Go here:
http://cjp.ca.gov/pubdisc.htm and count them for yourself.
This "commission" is a crock. In Orange County, California, they had a pedophile on the bench and couldn't get rid of him. Then, instead of him, the people elected a grifter/con man, by the name of John Adams.
And let's not even talk about the judges that don't follow the law. Get rid of them and the courts would be practically empty. And then, we've got the bankruptcy judges--it's hard to understand how those judges make it to work each morning, they're so stupid.
What do you call a law school graduate with an IQ of 85?
"Your Honor."

I've appeared before Van Voorhis myself. This has been coming for some time.
