KOREAN TV HIGHLIGHTS REPORT OF PLANS BY USA TO LAUNCH ATTACK ON N.K. NUKE FACILITY (VIDEO)
YTN TV (Seoul) with link to video ^ | 1 March 2003 | YTN TV (Seoul) with link to video

1. Go to this Top Story South Korean website

of YTN, one of the major TV networks in South Korea. The page is also linked above. (Don't worry about not being able to read the Korean script; you'll find the video links easily).

2) Right at the top, and on the right, next to the photo montage of a North Korean flag and nuke symbol with an American B-2 bomber superimposed, you will have a choice between a 50k and a 200k stream to see the video of YTN's Top Story today, the discussion of a possible USA attack this year on North Korea.

3) Good footage, including still photos of the problematic Yongbyon, North Korea nuke facility by satellite, USA military war planes, and discussion about rumors and reports of US military plans to attack North Korea with precision or massive air sorties, (in particular North Korea's nuclear reactor), after the Iraq situation is satisfactorily completed.

Lead news in most of the South Korean press today.

Another option in case these links don't work, is to go to the YTN top page, located at: http://www.ytn.co.kr/

Then, 'hit' the North Korean flag, and then follow the instructions above. Fairly simple.

Thank you! I knew somebody could post a better, more direct link to the actual video without having to go through all the steps I described. It took you less than three minutes! Thanks again. Great link.

The 200 wanted to install a Windows player I already have; the 56 played right away.

The Little Movie Theater Presents:

Hegemon attacks with B-1, B-2, B-52, Tomahawks.

Bombs loaded with forklift into bay.

NK technicians at N-plant playing with their rods and readouts.

Massed NKs beat their chest in CPR as heart-stopping speech read.

U.S. general at DOD podium.

Will the NKs fake an attack on themselves as a Tonkin Gulf pretext?

Uday Hussein was in Pyongyang, up to no good.

Well I suppose there's always a "plan" for any contingency. Why the SK news report was crafted as it was, and released, I don't know. Warning to NK for reneging on not starting up their reactor a few days ago?

For me, it went right into Media Windows Player. About a four minute report. I watched both 56k (yes, small, grainy, slow), and 200k (very clear) video streams. Sorry there appears to be no 'in between'.

Wonder if it also searches for a Real Audio and uses that on some people's versions?

Just say yes.

So, I did.

Full screen mini-war.

Finished with Kim Jung Ilvis Presley in his Eisenhower jacket and shades.

Woody Allen did "What's Up Tiger Lily?" in 1967 using a Japanese private detective film and English captions.

It was hilarious.

I'm sure the FReeper version of When Hegemons Attack will be even funnier.

They are going off a NYT story (also posted earlier here, I believe) and combined their own understanding and sense of the matter. Choson Ilbo and Monthly Chosen also strongly highlighted this story today.

It is possible somebody within their Defense Agency got it out there. Remember, this is a two-day old Administration in Seoul, too, and may not have finessed it right; or the S.K. papers dug and felt confident enough to go with it.

Oops... Didn't know it was so large. Well, it's pretty neat, at any rate. Lots of big explosions and lots of nice hardware.

The Kim Jong il 'reviewing the troops' scenes at the end were not very flattering; and I don't know HOW they could ever correct that discrepancy using trick photography.

Visually the video plays a whole variety American weapons and delivery systems that may be used, then cuts back and forth to the labs - felt like a direct, visual targeting. Like, "Kim, this is what's coming."

If set up to send a message, it might be "turn off the reactor or you'll have nothing to bargain with anymore."

Yes, I did like the way YTN video-edited the report, interspersed like that. Good comment. Hope more can view it today.

I feel sorry for the North Korean people who are completely in the dark (for the most part) about what is actually happening. I'm sure there are a few that are scared that they might be nuked.
