actually, setting your browser to wipe temp net files on shutdown is something you can do to help keep things nice and tidy (among others)

If you check out f*ckedmicrosoft.com (or something like that) you will find that these files are NEVER erased, only hidden. It may help with some of the problem, but it is a definite privacy error on the part of MS. I think they call these "super secret" hidden files, or something like that.
