March 7, 2003 -- BAGHDAD, Iraq - Western peaceniks hoping to be "human shields" at Iraqi hospitals and schools have soured on the idea after officials stationed them at power plants.
The dispute prompted Iraqi officials yesterday to boot five would-be "shields" from the country.

Former U.S. Marine Ken O'Keefe, one of those ordered out by today, said it was "absolutely unacceptable that human shields would arrive and immediately be taken to sites without our knowledge." What a hoot! O'Keefe the brave was all over the news a few weeks ago, lauded by the press for his selfless, courageous position. But is he willing to stand in the line of action? Was he ever? Will the press cover his inglorious return?

Too bad he got the boot now. I thought the only way he'd leave was as collateral damage, in a condition rendering him unable to be causing any more trouble.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Acrimony between a traitor and a baby raper.
You gotta love it....

Maybe he was hoping to get "stationed" in one of Saddam's swanky palaces. The locals will get the "good" charitable human shield jobs (like hospitals); no sense in Saddam getting them mad at him too.

Have 'em tested for bio hazard contamination before letting back in the country. Saddam probably loaded up their backpacks.

I hope you remembered to bring your "Citizen of the World Passport", Ken. Don't leave home without it.
Oh, wait - you don't have a home. Maybe Syria will let you stay for a while.

When your hero kills those people for useful publicity, you're responsible too, you arrogant leftist Pied Piper...

Man, you're killing me with the "Kumbiya" picture. These 60's dinosaurs just can't let bygones be bygones. So sad that they could'nt stay longer and help use in our target aquisition program for the USAF. GEEZ !!! What a HOOT !!

These idiots have no clue how they almost became posterchildren for atrocities committed by Iraqis wearing US uniforms.........given one more week (march 14th IMO) we'd be seeing them in movies as the dead guys.
I think it was really funny they left because they finally traveled a gazillion miles , pulled their heads outta their ass and realized it was ....dangerous.
LOL......Stay Safe !!

Well, golly gee, Kenney, if it so "absolutely unacceptable", then there's no reason to be such a wuss about this. Put your foot down, read Saddam the riot act and straighten him out about exactly what your human "rights" are. It's not like he's a brutal and despotic tyrant or anything like that. I'm sure that he'd even give you a choice of which testicle he removes from your sniveling pacifist body first.

"It's just a shame that there may be Iraqi lives that could be lost as a result of numbers diminishing," he said. Actually, I think it's a much greater shame that there may be human shields who aren't gonna get turned into hamburger after all...
