Sign Open Letter to support immediate action against Iraq
StopSaddamNow.org ^

StopSaddamNow.org was created to express support for action against Saddam Hussein. Now.

While the build-up of US and allied forces in the Middle East may inspire Saddam to give up and go into exile, war may be necessary. The bottom line is that the threat posed by Saddam and his weapons of mass destruction must come to an end. Now.

We ask you to join with us to sign an Open Letter to "Stop Saddam Now".

When you sign the Open Letter to “Stop Saddam Now”, your name will be listed here at this website. By attaching your name to the Open Letter, you will join with others to publicly express your support for action.

Additionally, in recognition of the supportive efforts of countries around the world, we ask you to also sign an Open Letter to "Thank Our Allies" who are working with us to end the threat presented by Saddam Hussein.

Absolutely. That is a great petition in favor of the men and women actually doing the fighting. They deserve all our support. http://www.StopSaddamNow.org says we need to actually start the fighting to get rid of Saddam. So, we should sign both. Thanks.

The reason I don't 'sign' these on-line petitions is that they ask for info (and get your email address) that can be used later for SPAM purposes. If you want to express your position to the administration, might as well correspond DIRECTLY with them (which I prefer to do).

I agree about spam. StopSaddamNow.org does does ask for your e-mail address, but the site indicates that that is optional. Only required info is name, city, state, and zip. Other info, such as your address, is not required. Agree with you that writing direct is great. But, a website makes it easier for some. And, maybe more important, by aggregating the signatures, we can counter the anti-war crowd that says how many people have signed theirs. For better or worse, the press likes total numbers -- and those numbers do drive debate, at least in part.
