Man, that must have been a whack. An engineer I worked with told me he hit one in a 'Cuda doing about 100 mph. He clipped it, hitting its head in the area of the headlight on the right. He said it was like a bomb went off, just destroyed the car but he was lucky to be unhurt. One of the pitfalls of the wide open spaces of Texas :)
