Make Your Voice Heard
The world is swirling
Round and round
Countless voices
Tumultuous sound
Some call for peace
At any price
Appeasing evil
Cowardly vice
Lying about those
That are standing guard
Obstructing justice
They make it hard
Hypocrites all
Their cries are fake
Political motives
For their own sake
The time is now
For righteous men
To fumigate
This viper's den
Stand and fight
Let your voice be heard
Defend the ones
Who are being slurred
If not you
Then who indeed
Will fight this fight
Will take the lead?
Each generation
That came before
Paid this price
And sometimes more
So make your choice
And unify
With those who will
If needed die
Liberty's price
Is high, my friend
But pay it we must
Until the end

With all the resources/modern computer graphics at our disposal, how come the propaganda leaflets we are dropping look so cheesy?

If a soldier warrants the term 'hero', what term would be used to denote one who's performance is above and beyond the description of normalcy?
The picture of the girl with the weapon hanging on her shoulder exhibits the cruelty towards both genders by deceiving all into believing that females are equal to males in combat!
Generally, I enjoy these pictures!

Awesome, Dio! It's a shame the news media seems to have forgotten our men and women in uniform hard at work in Afghanistan. You have some wonderful pics of them here.
Thank you for your time and efforts in putting your threads together.

The second battalion of U.S. trained afghani regulars graduated last month and are now at work. Instilled with values of sacrifice, honor and professionalism, they are little by little bringing safety and security to their people:
[U.S. trained] Afghan Army Liberates Bamiyan [rule of law slowly being secured in Afghanistan]
Mohammad Sultan stood straight and tall at the Madar village checkpoint, watching for smugglers and weapons as residents came and went. Snow fell on his new national army uniform, but he didnt mind. For many soldiers it would be tedious, boring work, but for this 28-year-old, it was an extraordinary and happy moment.
At last he was doing what he had been trained to do: serve his country by trying to bring about stability. I will go to any place when ordered, he told IWPR proudly, and will bring peace to the residents of our regions.

I thought I'd die laughing when I saw the picture of the woman with the burka raised to the top of her head blowing a bubble!!!
Great to see you back doing the thread Diogenesis, I've really missed them.
I'm so proud of our women in the military, what an inspiration for the Afghani women.
To: Stultis
Thanks for the link, Stultis.
Hopefully with the help of our troops, and the efforts of our government and Afghanistan's, those people will be able to lead happy, healthy, productive lives. They've lived in poverty and torment far too long.
There's a long, bumpy road ahead for all but it may work out yet.

I find the photos of the changes for the women so exciting. What fun they are having, just being able to do girl stuff!
The photos of the American soldiers remind me to pray for their safety and success. They are awesome!
Thanks, Diogenesis!

I have missed your posts, even more now that I've seen this one. It's a shame that a single patriot on Free Republic can do more for troop support in Afghanistan than the ENTIRE US media complex, Fox included.
You are very much appreciated.
