I told everyone when I unwittingly pointed to them in the first place. I told you then that this was something that could easily go away if it was abused.

Yes, there are some event-based streams that show up from time to time. When I get wind of them, I'll mention them. Please be aware that they are event-based streams. When the live coverage ends, the streams go away.

You can get live CNN/CNNI audio - if you pay for it. You can get live ABC video and audio - if you pay for it. You can get live BBC World video and audio - if you pay for it. All three are available via the RealOne subscription system. I can't justify another $10/month for something like that. Once content expands, I may change my tune - but not now.

The only legitimate live broad-based news network coverage out there is CTV NewsNet from Canada (and that's limited to 30 minute blocks).

I'll see if I can cobble together a list (my list on TVNA - http://www.geocities.com/mhking2/links.html - is hopelessly out of date) that can be used for breaking news streams.

FYI - when the war kicks off, there will be more live streams than we can keep up with. Expect CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, FNC, Bloomberg, CTV, CBC, BBC and many other networks to provide varying degrees of live, streaming coverage (and with varying degrees of reliability). I'll have a list as I get ahold of them.

Again, to reiterate, I'll be posting lists on an "as needed" and "as available" basis.

I am about as likely to spontaneously burst into flames as PAY to watch CNN.
