I see what you mean. ...Could very well be the case. But still, what can Russia really do about it? We're undoubtedly going to find French, German, Chinese, and Russian fingerprints all over that hellhole, but there's nothing they can do to stop it. Yeah, it's going to be very embarrassing and a diplomatic nightmare for them, but it's not something for which they'd risk war (and possible annihilation). Like everyone else, they're going to have to be content to sit back and enjoy the show.
