You, my friend, are an idiot. Worse, he's a troll. Anyone with a lick of sense understands that the flag is not an "idol." An idol is an object of worship, adored blindly and excessively.
I don't know about anyone else, but I revere the flag not as a piece of cloth, but for the U.S. Constitution and human sacrifice it represents.
