Most articles I've seen about Iraqis here in the U.S. have shown they welcome Liberation of the Iraqis. This guy says he moved here when he was 19. He doesn't sound like a Texan to me.

The OldDominantLiberalMedia searched long and hard, and finally came up with a former Iraqi who is against the war. If you search long enough, you can find a double strike penny, too.

Some Americans of Iraqi heritage say the developments go against everything the United States stands for I guess they never heard the 'Battle Hymn of the Republic'.

"Jawad, a self-employed Dallas peace activist"
There's your answer!
To: MeeknMing
Very Taqi!

We must be doing something right if this sap is complaining.

"I am horrified and outraged that my country, my nation is resorting to such barbarism," So are we Jawad. That's why we are going to rid your country of Saddam. Just calling yourself an American doesn't make you an American. There is more to it than that. You can call yourself an Eagle, but that doesn't mean you can fly. Once we've done your dirty work maybe you would be happier going back to Iraq.
To: writmeister
The co-opted word "activist" always means anti-American.

I came to this country when I was 19. I love this country its institutions, its fair play and due process," said Jawad, a self-employed Dallas peace activist. " A little Google is instructive - Jawad seems to be a guiding light of the "Dallas Peace Center" and the "Committee in Solidarity with the People of Iraq"
To: mc10
Hey, He couldn't very well be an activist in Bagdad, either.

He's an Iraqi in Texas, not a Texan from Iraq.

He's not of Iraqi descent, he's from Iraq. He's not a Texan, he's a resident of Texas. The title is misleading, speaks of plural Texans, yet only one person is sited in the article.

Oh, man. Yet another from my alma mater, UTA.
This says he's from Pakistan? What's the deal? . . .
